- • The Data Business Analyst serves as the critical link between client stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered in alignment with Agile principles on data and analytics projects.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, leading feature kickoffs, facilitating estimation and backlog refinement sessions, collaborating with developers and testers to validate completed work, and maintaining visibility of dependencies and risks in Jira.
- • The role involves active stakeholder engagement, including facilitating sign-offs, supporting alignment between client and delivery teams, and working with Account Managers, Tech Leads, and Program Managers to address client pain points and drive outcomes.
- • The analyst supports data product lifecycle activities such as data source mapping, target-to-source field mapping, and articulating data quality and transformation rules within medallion architecture, while contributing to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement efforts.
- • They also track and report team health metrics, produce end-of-sprint reports, support automated reporting, and provide analytical insights to support account growth and improvement opportunities.
- • This is a 4-month contractor role based in Brazil (LATAM), requiring 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with potential travel as needed by the client, and internal communication conducted in English.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst in Agile delivery environments (Scrum or Kanban) for 10+ years
- • Skilled in user story writing, backlog management, and stakeholder facilitation
- • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools
- • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills
- • Strong experience in data and analytics projects, including data lineage, transformation, and quality
- • Excellent knowledge of SQL
- • Exposure to BI/reporting and DWH integration use cases
- • Understanding of the medallion data architecture and/or modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
