📋 Description

• As a Lead iOS Engineer (EMEA Remote) at Pragmatike Soluciones Tecnológicas S.L., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the mobile experience for a next-generation decentralized cloud platform, directly contributing to a sovereign, energy-efficient alternative to traditional hyperscale providers by building high-performance, secure, and intuitive iOS applications that interface with distributed bare-metal infrastructure.
• Your work will bridge cutting-edge mobile technology with advanced distributed systems, enabling users to access high-performance compute workloads through seamless, reliable, and battery-efficient mobile interfaces — making complex infrastructure feel simple and accessible.
• You will design and develop high-quality iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks, ensuring architectural excellence, scalability, and maintainability while aligning with product vision and stringent performance benchmarks for a deep-tech SaaS platform operating at the edge of cloud innovation.
• You will architect scalable, maintainable mobile systems with a strong focus on performance optimization, memory management, battery efficiency, and responsive UI/UX, leveraging modern patterns like MVVM or Clean Architecture to handle complex state, asynchronous data flows, and offline synchronization in distributed environments.
• You will build responsive, intuitive user interfaces using SwiftUI and/or UIKit that meet rigorous design and accessibility standards, translating complex backend capabilities into clear, user-centric experiences for developers, enterprises, and end-users interacting with decentralized compute resources.
• You will integrate mobile applications with complex RESTful APIs and asynchronous data flows, implementing robust networking, caching, persistence, and synchronization strategies to ensure reliable operation even under intermittent connectivity — critical for edge and mobile use cases in a distributed infrastructure.
• You will optimize applications for peak performance, minimal battery drain, and rapid responsiveness through profiling, instrumentation, and fine-tuning of rendering, networking, and data handling layers, directly impacting user satisfaction and adoption of the platform.
• You will maintain the highest standards for code quality, automated testing (unit, UI, integration), documentation, and observability, establishing best practices that elevate the entire mobile engineering team’s output and ensure long-term system reliability.
• You will collaborate daily in an Agile/Scrum environment with backend, infrastructure, product, and design teams, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical decision-making to ensure alignment across the full stack and timely delivery of features to App Store.
• You will participate in the full mobile development lifecycle — from initial architecture and prototyping through testing, App Store submission, release management, and post-launch monitoring — ensuring smooth, secure, and scalable deployment cycles.
• You will work closely with backend and infrastructure teams to define contracts, optimize API contracts, and ensure seamless integration between mobile clients and the decentralized cloud platform’s core services, acting as a critical liaison for mobile-centric requirements.
• You will implement and advocate for mobile security best practices, including secure data storage, encryption, authentication protocols, and protection against common mobile threats, ensuring compliance with enterprise-grade standards for data sovereignty and privacy.
• You will conduct rigorous code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and foster a culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement in mobile architecture, CI/CD, and release engineering practices.
• You will champion innovation in mobile architecture, CI/CD automation, and release management, driving adoption of modern tooling and processes that reduce cycle time, increase reliability, and support rapid iteration in a fast-moving deep-tech environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–6+ years of professional experience as a Senior or Lead iOS Engineer with a proven track record of delivering complex, production-grade iOS applications.
• Deep expertise in Swift and the iOS SDK, including advanced language features, memory management, and performance optimization techniques.
• Proven experience architecting and implementing modern iOS application architectures such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or VIPER at scale.
• Strong background in integrating RESTful APIs, managing asynchronous data flows (using Combine, async/await, or GCD), and implementing effective caching, persistence, and offline synchronization strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize iOS applications for performance, battery efficiency, and responsiveness using Instruments, profiling tools, and systematic tuning.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong collaboration, communication, and influence skills to drive technical decisions across cross-functional teams.
