  • • Lead SCADA and Telecom Engineer responsible for leading technical design of electric substation SCADA and telecom systems for windfarm, onshore, offshore, and O&M centers, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and under-budget delivery with a safety-first mindset.
  • • Provide functional design specifications for complex SCADA and telecom systems, review and coordinate vendor designs for compliance with NERC CIP, IEC 62443, IEC-61850, DNP, and industry standards, and ensure safety-in-design practices are integrated.
  • • Coordinate SCADA and telecom design with protection and control, primary design, site managers, commissioning engineers, and field personnel to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
  • • Develop Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures, participate in testing, and prepare engineering estimates for equipment quantities and costs for proposals.
  • • Communicate with Project Engineering Manager to resolve design impacts on cost, schedule, budget, safety, and quality, and report customer opportunities or risks to project leadership.
  • • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, contribute to improving design procedures, standards, quality, and productivity, and embrace a culture of humility and transparency.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Information Technology/Telecommunication engineering from an accredited university.
  • • Ten plus (10+) years minimum relevant experience, with at least three years in utility, renewable, and/or industrial HV & EHV substation SCADA and telecom systems design.
  • • Demonstrated knowledge of NERC-CIP standards and IEC 62443 for cybersecurity, IEC 61850-based digital substations (PRP, HSR, RSTP), and standard SCADA network architecture (HMIs, Gateways, RTUs) and protocols (OPC, DNP3, etc.).
