📋 Description

• Lead Software Engineer (Remote) at Bjak Sdn. Bhd., a leading insurance portal in Southeast Asia, driving the development of scalable, high-quality full-stack systems to expand access to affordable financial services across ASEAN.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include developing backend systems with NodeJS and frontend applications using ReactJS/NextJS, ensuring production stability, optimizing existing code, supporting cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, and conducting code reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
• Bjak is headquartered in Malaysia and operates the largest insurance portal in Southeast Asia, leveraging technology like custom APIs, trading systems, and data science to democratize access to financial services for millions across the region.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development, gain leadership experience in mentoring and code quality, work with modern cloud and DevOps tools, and contribute to impactful financial inclusion initiatives in a fast-growing, innovative environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Over 7 years of full-time experience in software engineering
• Proficient in backend development technologies such as NodeJS, NestJS, ExpressJS, GraphQL, and Postman
• Proficient in frontend development technologies such as ReactJS, NextJS, and Styled-components
• Experienced in database management, including MongoDB and MySQL
