• • Oversee the comprehensive design, architecture, and meticulous implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient AWS cloud infrastructure that forms the backbone of QuartzBio’s cutting-edge SaaS platform, ensuring it meets the demanding needs of life sciences customers.
• • Direct the strategic development and ongoing maintenance of robust Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions, emphasizing modularity, reusability, and consistent, reliable environment provisioning across all stages of the development lifecycle.
• • Design, implement, and continuously refine sophisticated Kubernetes (EKS) deployment strategies utilizing Helm charts, ensuring unparalleled reliability, optimal performance, and efficient resource utilization across diverse environments.
• • Optimize and govern advanced CI/CD pipelines within GitLab, focusing on enhancing automation capabilities, improving deployment efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration with Docker and Kubernetes for streamlined application delivery.
• • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to establish and standardize essential tooling, robust deployment practices, and efficient operational processes, ensuring alignment and synergy across departments.
• • Proactively identify, prioritize, and drive impactful automation and process improvements across infrastructure management, deployment workflows, and cloud operations to significantly enhance system reliability, minimize manual effort, and boost overall team productivity.
• • Maintain a deep and current working knowledge of modern cloud engineering best practices, including cutting-edge tooling, effective source control strategies, and advanced integration patterns, to guide strategic technical decision-making and ensure consistent alignment across the entire engineering team.
• • Provide hands-on, expert coaching and dedicated mentorship to team members, actively supporting their skill development, fostering career growth, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality engineering outcomes.
• • Lead and manage a functional cloud engineering team, establishing clear and measurable expectations, effectively allocating work assignments, and ensuring strict alignment with overarching organizational priorities and strategic goals.
