- • As the Manager, MSAT Process Lead at Lonza Group Ltd., you will define and drive process technology strategy for a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, playing a pivotal role in facility design, technology selection, and startup to ensure scalable, efficient, and GMP-compliant manufacturing processes that support the production of life-saving therapies.
- • You will lead the selection and implementation of process equipment and process analytical technology (PAT), develop production models for throughput and capacity planning, and provide technical input into user requirement specifications, process flow diagrams, and equipment layouts to align engineering with product and facility needs.
- • Collaborating closely with internal teams, customers, automation, and OT teams, you will integrate process control and PAT strategies, support commissioning and qualification activities (including FAT and SAT), and interface with stakeholders throughout design, construction, and startup phases to ensure seamless tech transfer and operational readiness.
- • You will translate complex product requirements—such as critical quality attributes (CQAs) and process parameters for biologics, ADCs, or advanced synthesis—into scalable manufacturing solutions, leveraging your expertise in bioconjugates and GMP-regulated environments to balance performance, cost, flexibility, and compliance.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in MSAT, process engineering, or technical operations within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment
- • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- • Strong expertise in process equipment, PAT, and manufacturing technologies, with experience in bioconjugates and/or advanced synthesis (e.g., complex biologics, ADCs, or small molecule processes)
- • Proven ability to translate product requirements into scalable manufacturing solutions, including experience supporting facility startup, commissioning, and tech transfer
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including production modeling and process evaluation, plus familiarity with automation systems, process control strategies, and data integrity principles
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including customer-facing experience, with a collaborative mindset and willingness to travel 25-30% of the time to EMEA and NA
