  • • As a Manager - Software Engineering at Modivcare Inc., you will lead software engineering teams in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that deliver business value at scale, directly impacting the company’s mission to improve people’s lives through service-oriented technology.
  • • Day to day, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers through coaching, performance management, and career development planning; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement; own hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and team development; promote engineering excellence and quality standards; guide architectural and design decisions for scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems; partner with senior engineers and architects on system design and code quality reviews; ensure adherence to secure coding practices, testing standards, and deployment processes; balance technical debt reduction with new feature delivery; own delivery commitments and milestone achievement; plan and manage team capacity, roadmaps, and priorities aligned with business objectives; identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs and communicate them proactively to stakeholders; drive adoption of AI tools to improve development velocity; continuously improve development processes and team effectiveness; oversee operational support practices including troubleshooting and system reliability; manage on-call rotations for mission-critical systems; collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams; and communicate technical concepts and delivery status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • • Five (5) plus years of professional software development experience
  • • Four (4) plus years of experience managing or leading software engineering teams
  • • Strong understanding of modern software development practices and architecture
  • • Experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • • Hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript
