• • The MICR Engineer role at Big Ten Network, part of Fox Corporation, is critical to ensuring seamless live sports broadcasts across the Midwest territory by managing technical operations during remote events.
• • Day to day, the engineer will travel to Big Ten sporting events to connect, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast equipment including cameras, switchers, video servers, audio, and intercom systems; perform quality control on feeds; manage equipment maintenance; delegate tasks to remote crews; oversee logistics like deliveries and payroll; and operate the MICR truck to and from venues.
• • The team operates within Fox Sports’ multi-platform sports division, supporting live event production for one of the nation’s most-watched sports networks, with a focus on collegiate athletics through the Big Ten Network partnership.
• • In this role, the engineer will deepen expertise in broadcast television systems, gain hands-on experience with live event troubleshooting, develop leadership in coordinating remote crews, and strengthen technical proficiency in audiovisual and network systems essential for high-stakes live productions.
