📋 Description

• As a Mobile Platform Developer at Tailscale Inc., you will contribute to building the new Internet by developing secure, easy-to-use software that interconnects people and devices globally. Your work will directly impact how users protect their networks and access internal tools, supporting Tailscale’s mission to create a safer, more sensible Internet experience.
• Day to day, you will develop and maintain client code for iOS and Android platforms using Swift, SwiftUI, and Kotlin, while also contributing to shared codebases that support macOS, Windows, and other core platforms. You will write and maintain unit and integration tests, ensure compatibility across device generations, and collaborate on mobile VPN infrastructure and networking features.
• Tailscale is a fully remote, early-stage company founded in 2019 and backed by top-tier investors including Accel, CRV, Insight, Heavybit, and Uncork Capital. The engineering team is distributed across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, valuing asynchronous collaboration, technical excellence, and a culture of inclusivity and innovation.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in mobile platform development, gain hands-on experience with modern networking technologies like VPNs and DNS, and grow your skills in Go and cross-platform code sharing. 🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and/or Kotlin for iOS and Android development
• Strong understanding of mobile platform capabilities, limitations, and networking concepts such as DNS, VPNs, and IP routing
• Experience with unit and integration test development and maintenance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, give and process constructive feedback, and adapt to a dynamic startup environment
