- • As a Network Engineer at Ferguson Enterprises, Inc., you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the network infrastructure that supports approximately 1,400 locations across the United States, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity for business operations.
- • Day to day, you will collaboratively design, manage, and troubleshoot WAN/LAN, WLAN, VPN, and network infrastructure; configure and scale load balancing platforms (F5-focused); modify router and switch configurations; support escalated incidents; maintain documentation; and ensure compliance with IT security and governance standards such as SOX and PCI.
- • You will join the IT Network Engineering team within Ferguson’s IT organization, working closely with NOC, SOC, infrastructure, and development teams to proactively research, analyze, and recommend new technologies that meet evolving business needs while improving network uptime, performance, and reliability.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise-scale network architectures, gain hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, SD-WAN, and firewall technologies, and contribute to disaster recovery planning and strategic network initiatives, positioning yourself for growth in a Fortune 500 IT environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in Data Center, SD-WAN, Cloud, Wireless, Load-Balancer, Routing, Firewall, or Monitoring technologies
- • Associate’s degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience
- • Technical background in Network Engineering including Cisco (Nexus/Catalyst), Meraki, Palo Alto, SD-WAN (Versa/Cisco/Silverpeak), and general Information Security knowledge
