📋 Description

• The P&C Actuarial Assistant - Reserving role at Allstate supports the company’s mission to protect families by executing reserving projects using accepted actuarial and statistical standards, contributing to data-driven decisions that safeguard customers’ financial well-being.
• Day to day, the role involves reviewing and ensuring data quality for actuarial analyses, managing moderate-complexity projects with limited guidance, applying traditional and predictive modeling techniques, and communicating results and recommendations to management and non-technical stakeholders.
• The role sits within Allstate’s actuarial and analytics team, collaborating closely with business partners and analytics management to support reserving methodologies that align with business goals and regulatory expectations.
• In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in property and casualty insurance reserving, develop project management and communication skills, and gain hands-on experience with actuarial tools and methodologies, positioning them for advancement in actuarial science and risk analytics.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Economics
• 2 or more years of experience in actuarial work, data analysis, or a related analytical role (preferred)
• Proficiency with actuarial, statistical, and predictive modeling techniques, including experience with data analysis tools and applications
• Ability to manage moderate-complexity projects using accepted project management standards with limited supervision
• Strong communication skills to convey technical analysis and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
