• AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities (EC) team is actively seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Engineer - Building Structures to join our dynamic team, contributing to our global projects from our offices in Gurgaon, India. • As a Principal Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing sophisticated technical solutions for complex structural engineering problems. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, working under general direction and independently defining your approach to problem-solving. Your expertise will be crucial in tackling a wide spectrum of difficult and multifaceted engineering challenges, ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of our structural designs.

• You will be expected to receive instructions on specific assignment objectives, including complex features and potential solutions, and then independently drive these assignments to successful completion. • Deep knowledge of building design principles and practices is a fundamental requirement. This includes a comprehensive understanding of structural analysis, material behavior, seismic design, wind engineering, and relevant building codes and standards.
• The Principal Engineer will play a key role in mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing the next generation of structural engineering talent at AECOM.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Structural Engineer, with a proven track record in a Principal Engineer or equivalent senior role, demonstrating the ability to lead complex projects and develop innovative technical solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in the design and analysis of building structures, including a deep understanding of structural principles, materials, and relevant international building codes and standards.
• Proven experience with medium to large-scale retail and hospitality projects, showcasing an ability to manage the unique structural demands of these building types.
• Proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and relevant structural engineering software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Revit Structure), with a strong understanding of their application in project delivery.
• Experience working on projects within international markets, with a preference for experience in the UK, UAE, US, Canada, or ANZ (Australia and New Zealand) regions.
