- • As a Principal Engineer on Reddit's iOS Platform team, you will own the architecture of Reddit's iOS Mobile App and drive its scalability to support the next 100M+ daily active users, shaping the technical foundation for iOS development across the company.
- • You will lead the redesign of iOS platform components to improve modularity, performance, and quality, define and execute on key user-facing performance goals (such as minimizing ANR rate, reducing app launch time, and eliminating slow/dropped frames), and improve observability through reliable telemetry and monitoring systems.
- • You will mentor senior iOS engineers across Reddit, act as the go-to person for complex iOS architecture challenges, and foster a company-wide culture of performance by equipping engineers with the tools and skills to own product surface performance.
- • You will champion technology selection and best practices in iOS development, influence technical direction across 200+ engineers, and work cross-functionally with design, product, and data teams to deliver exceptional user experiences while advancing your expertise in scalable mobile architecture.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years in designing/developing iOS applications
- • Experience influencing organizations of 200+ engineers on technical direction and best practices related to iOS
- • Experience with modern iOS development frameworks such as Swift UI and structured Concurrency
- • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical expertise
