đź“‹ Description
- • As a Principal PLM Architect at PTC Inc., you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic leader in transforming how global enterprises manage product lifecycles through the design and implementation of advanced PTC Windchill solutions, directly enabling clients to improve operational efficiency, accelerate innovation, and align digital transformation with business objectives.
- • You will lead end-to-end PLM solution engagements by eliciting and analyzing business use cases from cross-functional stakeholders, translating them into scalable, enterprise-grade architectures, and guiding implementation through technical assessments, risk evaluations, and governance participation to ensure alignment with both technical best practices and strategic goals.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the design, implementation, and validation of Windchill-based PLM solutions; partnering with implementation architects and internal IT/IS teams to ensure compliance with PTC’s SaaS guardrails and cloud infrastructure standards; conducting technical feasibility assessments for estimation and planning; facilitating client workshops to document process gaps and develop actionable roadmaps; supporting data migration, configuration, and integration using Java, JSP, XML, and Ant technologies; mentoring project teams; and contributing feedback to PTC R&D and PLM Segment to enhance SaaS offerings based on real-world field experience.
- • You will collaborate across PTC’s ecosystem—including R&D, PLM Segment, SaaS Business Development Managers, and global implementation partners—to co-create enablement materials, refine methodologies, and drive adoption of best practices within the partner ecosystem, ensuring solutions are not only technically sound but also scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry-specific needs in sectors such as Automotive, MedTech, and Government.
- • PTC is a global leader in bridging the physical and digital worlds through its industry-leading PLM, CAD, IoT, and AR solutions, empowering nearly 7,000 employees worldwide to innovate at the forefront of digital transformation; this role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while contributing to a culture of inclusion, continuous learning, and impact-driven engineering where your expertise directly shapes how manufacturers design, build, and service products.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise PLM architecture, cloud-native SaaS platforms, and enterprise application integration while developing advanced consulting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills; you’ll have the opportunity to influence product strategy, shape industry best practices, and lead high-visibility transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business value—positioning you as a thought leader in the PLM space with clear pathways for growth into broader architecture, consulting, or technology leadership roles within PTC.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related technical field.
- • 7–12 years of hands-on experience in consulting, implementing, deploying, or supporting PLM systems, with a strong focus on PTC Windchill environments.
- • Proven ability to architect enterprise PLM solutions, including process-centric deployments and application design, using technologies such as Java, JSP, XML, and Ant.
- • US Citizenship or Green Card holder status is required.
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders across technical teams and executive leadership, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- • Comfort with ambiguity and change, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in dynamic, large-scale project environments.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive total compensation package with an anticipated annual salary range of $91,000–$160,000, inclusive of base salary and on-target incentive compensation.
- • Eligibility to participate in PTC’s Employee Share Purchase Program (ESPP), allowing purchase of discounted company stock, and potential access to broader equity programs based on role and performance.
- • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and access to wellness resources.
- • Retirement savings support through 401(k) plan with employer match, helping you build long-term financial security.
- • Work-life balance support via paid time off, sick leave, tuition reimbursement, and, for office-assigned employees, a generous commuter subsidy (remote employees receive equivalent flexibility and support).
- • Ongoing professional development opportunities, access to cutting-edge PLM and SaaS technologies, and a culture that values inclusion, continuous learning, and innovation—where you’re empowered to bring your authentic self to work every day.
