- • As a Principal Technical Program Manager at Walmart Inc., you will lead global tech talent development programs that empower millions of associates worldwide through scalable learning solutions, directly contributing to operational excellence and cost savings by enabling efficient, technology-driven associate development.
- • You will execute end-to-end program management for global learning initiatives, including defining success metrics, building stakeholder buy-in across geographies, managing risks and bottlenecks, and ensuring consistent quality and transparency in delivery through robust processes and documentation.
- • You will oversee the development and integration of custom tools and portals that enhance user experience for associates, leveraging agile and blended methodologies while coordinating across disparate teams using varied technical approaches to deliver complex features aligned with business strategy.
- • You will drive cross-functional collaboration by partnering with business, engineering, product, and leadership teams to translate business plans into technical execution, using reporting and dashboards to provide visibility and support informed decision-making.
- • You will apply deep expertise in program governance, SAP implementation support, and Agile practices (including Scrum techniques like story splitting, estimation, and retrospectives) to manage multiple parallel projects, mitigate risks, and balance business needs with technical constraints in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
- • You will join Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Services (EBS) team—a mission-driven unit that powers critical retail operations through technology—where your work will impact millions of users daily, from associate onboarding to supplier management and financial processing, setting new benchmarks for operational excellence.
- • You will grow your leadership and technical acumen by shaping Walmart’s global associate learning strategy, gaining exposure to enterprise-scale systems, emerging technologies, and retail innovation, positioning yourself as a strategic enabler of people-led, tech-empowered transformation at one of the world’s largest retailers.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (8+ years in engineering, technical program management, or product management)
- • 11+ years of overall IT experience with 9+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
- • Proven experience managing SAP implementation or support projects, with functional or technical knowledge of SAP, SQL, JQL, REST API, microservices, and automation
- • Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies, Scrum techniques (refinement, estimation, velocity, retrospection), and project management tools including Jira, Excel, and Confluence
- • Demonstrated ability to build processes, manage release schedules, drive cross-group collaboration, and deliver complex features through effective stakeholder engagement and risk mitigation
