Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • As a Product Analyst at Nansen Analytics, you will own the end-to-end product analytics function for a company where data is not just supportive but the core product itself — connecting onchain analytics to execution to transform how people invest in decentralized finance.
- • Your work will directly influence product strategy by turning raw behavioral data into actionable insights that drive decisions across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales teams, eliminating bottlenecks and enabling faster, data-informed shipping.
- • You will join a small, high-impact team of data engineers and scientists who deeply respect analytical craft, working in a fully remote environment across Europe and Asia with a mission to surface signal and create winners in the evolving onchain investing landscape.
- • Day to day, you will scale Nansen’s in-house product analytics platform so cross-functional teams can self-serve insights without dependency, building reliable instrumentation and models that answer critical questions about user behavior in analytics, trading, and staking products.
- • You will analyze user behavior and product metrics rigorously, transforming findings into concrete product decisions — not just presentations — by combining quantitative depth with qualitative context from user studies to understand both what users do and why they do it.
- • You will manage and maintain the customer data platform with meticulous attention to tracking accuracy and taxonomy hygiene, recognizing that messy data corrupts every downstream insight, and ensuring the foundation of trust for all analytics work.
- • You will translate business requirements into precise technical specifications that engineers can implement confidently, bridging the gap between product intent and technical execution through clear, actionable documentation.
- • You will build and maintain data models in dbt that are trusted and used daily by the broader team, emphasizing clean naming, proper documentation, and reusable structures that reflect a commitment to analytical craftsmanship.
- • You will integrate AI tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor into your workflow not as novelties but as force multipliers, demonstrating how they enhance your productivity in querying, modeling, and insight generation.
- • You will align your analytics work with company objectives using OKR frameworks, ensuring that your efforts contribute meaningfully to strategic goals rather than existing as isolated reporting exercises.
- • You will continuously refine your approach by staying curious about DeFi protocols and onchain data behavior, applying domain knowledge to improve the relevance and accuracy of your analyses in a fast-moving crypto-native environment.
- • Through this role, you will develop deep expertise in product-led analytics within a Web3 context, gaining rare experience in how onchain behavior informs product design and investment strategy at the frontier of finance.
- • You will achieve mastery in dbt, SQL, Python, and AI-augmented analysis while shaping the analytics culture of a company where data integrity and craft are non-negotiable values lived daily.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in data analysis with a product, growth, or marketing focus, including a proven track record of building dashboards that are actively used and analyses that have directly influenced product roadmaps.
- • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to write clean, efficient queries and discern when scripting is preferable to manual processes for reproducibility and scalability.
- • Experience analyzing trading products and understanding crypto user behavior, or demonstrable deep curiosity and rapid learning ability in the context of DeFi and onchain analytics.
- • Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) to enhance workflow productivity, showing how AI has made you 10x more effective in real-world analytical tasks.
- • Familiarity with OKR frameworks and experience using them to align analytics initiatives with company goals, moving beyond reporting to drive strategic alignment.
- • A strong commitment to analytical craft: valuing clean data models, precise naming conventions, and readable documentation that enables others to build on your work.
- • Bonus: hands-on experience with dbt and a deep understanding of DeFi protocols and onchain data structures.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and meaningful equity stake, offering real ownership in the product you help build and the value you create.
- • Fully remote work arrangement with two designated no-meeting days per week to protect deep work and enable sustained focus without interruption.
- • Annual company retreat and team off-sites in Singapore, Bangkok, London, or Oslo, with all flights and accommodation covered to foster connection and collaboration.
- • Unlimited access to AI tokens (Claude, OpenAI, and others) to accelerate your workflow and experimentation.
- • Personal OpenClaw device for work use, supporting your productivity and setup.
- • Complimentary Nansen Pro account, granting full access to the most detailed onchain data available in the market.
- • A team culture rooted in speed, ownership, curiosity, and courage — values that are practiced, not just posted.
- • A front-row role in shaping the next chapter of finance through direct involvement in building the platform that connects onchain insight to execution.
