- • Matia, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and technically adept Product Marketing professional to spearhead the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for our innovative DataOps platform. This pivotal role operates at the nexus of product development, sales enablement, and overarching go-to-market strategy, making you the crucial conduit between market needs and Matia's solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping how our platform is perceived and adopted within the data community, acting as the voice of the market internally and the voice of Matia externally.
- • This is a high-impact, cross-functional position designed for an individual with a deep understanding of the modern data stack. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to distill complex technical capabilities into compelling, accessible narratives and thrives in the dynamic, fast-paced environment of a rapidly growing startup. As the first Product Marketing hire, you will have the unique opportunity to build and shape the PMM function from its inception, establishing foundational processes and strategies.
- • **Positioning and Messaging:** You will be responsible for defining and owning Matia's core positioning framework, ensuring a clear, consistent, and differentiated value proposition that resonates across various market segments and target personas. This includes crafting compelling narratives that speak directly to the pain points and aspirations of data engineers, analytics engineers, and data leaders, ensuring this messaging is uniformly applied across all communication channels and customer touchpoints.
- • **Content Strategy and Creation:** A key responsibility will be to translate technical product features and benefits into high-impact content. This involves working with internal teams and external contractors to produce a range of materials, including website copy, detailed product pages, insightful blog posts, thought leadership articles, and clear technical explainers. You will develop persona-specific content designed to drive awareness, nurture consideration, and ultimately foster conversion. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the demand generation team to ensure content aligns seamlessly with campaign strategies and contributes directly to pipeline generation goals, while also supporting broader brand and social media initiatives.
- • **Go-To-Market Execution:** You will lead product launches from conception to completion, orchestrating seamless coordination across product, sales, and marketing departments. This involves partnering with demand generation teams on integrated campaigns, refining content strategies, and developing targeted account lists based on the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). A significant part of this role includes building and maintaining essential sales collateral, such as pitch decks, concise one-pagers, competitive battlecards, and effective objection-handling guides. You will also support field marketing activities by providing strategic messaging and potentially contributing to on-site presence and other engagement elements.
- • **Market and Competitive Intelligence:** Continuous research into buyer needs, emerging market trends, and the competitive landscape is critical. You will develop and maintain up-to-date competitive positioning and differentiation materials, ensuring Matia remains ahead of the curve. A vital aspect of this role is to actively gather and synthesize insights from customers, prospects, and the broader data community, feeding this intelligence back into product and marketing strategies. You will also play a role in supporting analyst relations, positioning Matia effectively within industry research and reports.
- • **Sales and Customer Enablement:** Empowering the sales team with the necessary tools, comprehensive training, and persuasive content to effectively articulate Matia's value proposition is paramount. This includes developing compelling narratives and equipping them to tell a powerful story. You will also collaborate with the customer success team to craft messaging that supports customer retention and identifies opportunities for expansion. Capturing and operationalizing customer success stories, detailed case studies, and quantifiable ROI narratives will be essential for demonstrating value and driving further adoption.
