We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Risk and Trading Analyst to join our dynamic Risk and Trading Team, responsible for the comprehensive management of all sports betting products.
• • This role is pivotal in ensuring the profitability and competitiveness of our sports betting offerings, demanding a 24/7 vigilance over bets, prices, and market movements across all sports. You will be instrumental in maintaining key performance indicators that align with the company's overarching strategic goals, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our customers.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include constant monitoring of bet flow, taking decisive action in accordance with departmental guidelines, and reacting instantaneously to industry shifts and emerging trends. A critical aspect of this role involves identifying bets with significant expected value and recognizing unusual betting patterns that deviate from typical behaviour, requiring a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of sports betting dynamics.
• • You will actively monitor market liabilities in real-time, ensuring that our exposure is managed effectively. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the swift and accurate grading of markets, which is essential for maintaining rapid and efficient cash flow, a cornerstone of our operational success.
• • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with various trading teams to ensure the delivery of a profitable and competitive product for every sporting event. This includes communicating effectively with customer-facing teams to support patron satisfaction and escalating any issues that require prompt resolution, thereby contributing to a positive customer experience.
• • Utilizing sophisticated internal tools, you will assess the value of individual bets and patrons, implementing strategic measures to enhance trading hold percentages. This analytical approach is crucial for maximizing revenue and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
• • Ensuring that all trading products and processes adhere strictly to regulatory compliance is paramount. You will be responsible for adapting to evolving market trends, changes in provider relationships, and shifts in internal processes, demonstrating agility and a forward-thinking mindset.
• • Daily reporting to key stakeholders across the business is a core function of this role. You will be expected to create and execute comprehensive reports using industry-standard tools such as SQL, Python, Looker, Mode, and Tableau, providing actionable insights into performance and risk.
• • A significant part of your contribution will involve monitoring and reporting on customer lifetime profitability, understanding the long-term value of our player base. You will also be involved in testing new in-house trading tools and daily-use features, providing valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
• • You will have the opportunity to recommend new features and guide them from conceptualization through to delivery in collaboration with the product team, playing a direct role in shaping the future of our sports betting platforms.
• • A crucial element of risk management involves monitoring multi-accounting and syndicate activity through retrospective pattern analysis. This requires identifying customers who may be coordinating to exploit pricing inefficiencies, safeguarding the integrity of our betting markets.
• • You will leverage customer risk data and internal tooling to prioritize and triage accounts for review, ensuring that the highest-impact cases are actioned promptly and efficiently. This proactive approach to risk mitigation is vital for protecting the company's interests.
• • Contributing to the development of scalable customer risk frameworks is another key responsibility. These frameworks will enable efficient, consistent, and commercially driven decision-making across our entire customer base, ensuring fairness and profitability.
• • You will report on the commercial impact of customer risk decisions, including the Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) uplift from restrictions and trends in sharp customer volumes, providing critical data to support wider trading strategies and inform business decisions.
