- • Represent Smithfield Foods’ brand by introducing new products and building strategic customer relationships in key categories including bacon, ham, and fresh pork.
- • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the sales team by coordinating daily workflows, managing documentation, and ensuring timely communication with customers to maintain smooth sales operations.
- • Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing customers through consistent support, understanding evolving needs, and delivering tailored solutions to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
- • Maintain clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing product displays across retail locations; ensure samples are replenished and merchandising standards are upheld to enhance customer experience and brand visibility.
- • Collaborate with Account Managers to track and analyze daily and weekly sales performance, updating teams on promotional effectiveness to inform future planning and execution.
- • Support the development and growth of sales accounts by managing key metrics, resolving customer complaints promptly, and ensuring store-level initiatives are implemented effectively to meet or exceed sales objectives.
- • Travel throughout the assigned territory up to 80% of the time to engage with current and prospective customers, present product offerings using samples or catalogs, and highlight key features that align with customer needs and drive purchasing decisions.
- • Visit manufacturing facilities to strengthen product knowledge, manage trade spend, and support accurate demand forecasting and sales planning.
- • Manage trade spend and ensure accurate forecasting by working cross-functionally with Business Management, Marketing, and Plant Operations teams.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience; company will consider currently enrolled college students with anticipated graduation by end of current school year.
- • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; local travel up to 80% of the time expected, with occasional overnight stays.
- • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver clear presentations and build effective working relationships across teams and with customers.
- • Ability to manage sales accounts, resolve customer issues, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment while meeting or exceeding performance metrics.
- • Capable of occasionally lifting 25lbs to 50 lbs; able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms for extended periods; must have specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
