📋 Description
- • As a Security Engineering Lead at Upvest, you will shape the company's security strategy and scale its security engineering function in a highly regulated financial technology environment.
- • You will lead and mentor a growing security team, set multi-quarter direction for application and cloud security, and embed security into the software development lifecycle across product and engineering teams.
- • You will own secure infrastructure including CI/CD pipelines, IAM, encryption, network controls, and cloud security posture in GCP, while ensuring compliance with DORA, MiFID II, and BaFin regulations.
- • You will collaborate with product, engineering, risk, and compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into actionable security controls and foster a security-aware culture through influence and partnership.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6–10 years of experience in security engineering, with at least 4 years focused on product or cloud security in a regulated environment.
- • Hands-on technical expertise in cloud-native security, preferably GCP, including IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud KMS, Terraform, Kubernetes hardening, and binary authorization.
- • Proven ability to lead through influence, mentor engineers, build and grow teams, and drive security outcomes via partnership rather than gatekeeping.
- • Strong communication skills to convey security concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to auditors and executives.
