- • Safely transport agricultural materials, including fertilizer and anhydrous ammonia, to customer locations and cooperative sites across a regional area primarily in Iowa and Nebraska, with overnight routes to Kansas, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
- • Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations for commercial drivers.
- • Adhere strictly to company safety policies and enforce safety practices for self and others at all times.
- • Complete all duties on time, adapt quickly to schedule changes, and maintain punctuality for shifts that include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime (approximately 60 hours per week).
- • Follow all standard operating procedures for loading, unloading, and transporting hazardous and non-hazardous agricultural products.
- • Maintain valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), HAZ-MAT licensure (or ability to obtain), and Tanker Endorsement.
- • Perform forklift operations; successful forklift certification is required.
- • Lift and handle loads up to 60 pounds regularly during loading and unloading activities.
- • Work in varied environmental conditions including extreme cold and heat, and in areas with dust and chemical exposure while wearing required personal protective equipment.
- • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills while maintaining respectful interactions with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- • Use basic computer and math skills for logkeeping, route planning, and documentation.
- • Read, write, and comprehend both verbal and written instructions accurately.
- • Willingness to learn new procedures, troubleshoot operational issues, and adapt to evolving job demands.
- • Operate within a regional footprint with home most days, but must be prepared for extended overnight trips as needed.
- • Participate in a drug screening and background review as a condition of employment.
- • Comply with Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s drug-free workplace policy and post-employment substance abuse testing requirements.
