📋 Description

• • Serve as the primary data translator between executive leadership and our enterprise reporting stack. You will sit shoulder-to-shoulder with managing directors to surface the questions that truly move the needle, then architect the data pathways and visual stories that answer them.
• • Own the full lifecycle of BI deliverables—from initial discovery workshops through wireframes, ETL design, dashboard deployment, and post-launch optimization. Your Dundas BI masterpieces will be the single source of truth for strategic decision-making across Novatae and, by extension, World Insurance Associates.
• • Write elegant, high-performance SQL that wrangles millions of policy, claims, and financial records into clean, analysis-ready datasets. You will profile data daily, hunt anomalies, and institute automated quality checks that prevent bad numbers from ever reaching an executive’s screen.
• • Curate a living library of documentation: source-to-target mappings, business glossary definitions, dashboard user manuals, and quick-start videos. Your materials will empower non-technical users to explore data confidently and reduce ad-hoc requests by 30% within your first year.
• • Champion a culture of self-service analytics. You will design reusable templates, conduct monthly “Dashboard Power Hour” trainings, and mentor junior analysts on SQL best practices, color theory, and storyboarding techniques.
• • Provide tier-2 support for all production reports—monitoring load times, refreshing credentials, and releasing patch updates during low-impact windows. When the CEO opens the quarterly board deck at 6:00 a.m., your work is already waiting, flawless and fast.
• • Partner with IT and Data Engineering to prioritize warehouse enhancements, advocate for new data feeds (e.g., real-time claims snapshots), and validate dimensional model changes before they hit production.
• • Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into auditable data trails. Whether it’s NAIC statutory reporting or SOX controls, your queries and dashboards will satisfy both internal audit and external regulators without last-minute fire drills.
• • Continuously scan the analytics horizon—evaluating Dundas BI extensions, experimenting with Python automation, and benchmarking against Power BI and Tableau—to ensure our stack remains best-in-class and cost-effective.
• • Exhibit impeccable discretion when handling sensitive personnel, financial, and client data. You will implement row-level security, manage role-based access, and conduct quarterly access reviews to maintain our zero-breach record.
