📋 Description
- • The Senior Data Analyst, Clinical Quality and Patient Safety provides technical oversight of event reporting databases and generates data reports for internal monitoring, process improvement, physician profiling, and external quality data reporting across the entire OSU Health System and its individual operating units.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing processes for data entry, ensuring data integrity, conducting data analysis, creating reports, and providing education on data use to support clinical quality and patient safety initiatives.
- • The role is part of Health System Shared Services | Quality and Operations at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, supporting quality improvement efforts across University Hospitals, the James Cancer Institute, behavioral health services, and other affiliated units.
- • In this position, the analyst will develop expertise in healthcare quality metrics, statistical analysis of clinical data, and reporting systems used for regulatory compliance and performance improvement, with opportunities to influence patient safety initiatives through data-driven insights.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor of Science in engineering, information systems, or health administration or equivalent with healthcare-related experience in database management, data collection, and statistical analysis.
- • Minimum four years of experience in data analysis, with preferred candidates having four to eight years of experience.
- • Proficiency in statistical software, relational databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software.
- • Ability to statistically analyze and interpret raw data into actionable recommendations for process improvement.
