đź“‹ Description

  • • Join CTI as a Senior Data Scientist and become the analytical backbone of mission-critical defense systems that protect warfighters and national security interests worldwide. In this remote-first role you will architect, implement, and continuously improve advanced data pipelines that ingest multi-INT feeds—SIGINT, GEOINT, HUMINT, OSINT—at petabyte scale, transforming raw sensor data into actionable intelligence for real-time battlefield decisions.
  • • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine-learning models that predict adversary behavior, optimize logistics routes in contested environments, and flag anomalous cyber activity on classified networks. You will lead experimentation with state-of-the-art techniques such as graph neural networks for threat-network analysis, reinforcement learning for autonomous mission planning, and transformer architectures for multilingual sentiment extraction from captured communications.
  • • Translate complex statistical findings into clear, decision-ready narratives for senior military leaders, program managers, and field operators who may have limited data literacy. You will craft interactive dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, and custom Streamlit apps that surface key risk indicators, confidence intervals, and recommended courses of action within seconds of new data arrival.
  • • Establish rigorous MLOps practices that satisfy both DevSecOps pipelines and Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls. You will containerize models with Docker, orchestrate workflows via Kubernetes, and automate CI/CD gates that enforce security scanning, model-drift monitoring, and rollback capabilities in IL5/IL6 cloud enclaves.
  • • Mentor a distributed team of junior data scientists and engineers located across four time zones, fostering a culture of reproducible research, peer code review, and continuous learning. You will design internal hackathons, brown-bag seminars, and curated reading groups that keep the team at the forefront of open-source innovations while respecting classification boundaries.
  • • Collaborate daily with software architects, SIGINT analysts, and cyber operators in agile scrums to prioritize backlog items that deliver the highest operational value. You will translate vague warfighter requests into well-scoped epics, write detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, and present sprint demos to flag officers who depend on your insights for life-or-death decisions.
  • • Drive data governance initiatives that ensure every dataset is properly tagged with metadata, lineage, and sensitivity labels compliant with DoD 8140 and ICD 503 standards. You will chair a cross-functional data-stewardship working group that audits ingestion sources, enforces retention policies, and champions ethical AI principles across all models.
  • • Contribute to CTI’s long-term research roadmap by publishing sanitized findings in peer-reviewed journals, filing SBIR/STTR proposals, and participating in academic partnerships with institutions such as MIT CSAIL and Carnegie Mellon SEI. Your thought leadership will directly influence next-generation capabilities that keep U.S. forces ahead of near-peer adversaries.
  • • Provide on-call support during no-notice contingency operations, ensuring model uptime exceeds 99.9% even when forward-deployed servers face intermittent connectivity. You will craft resilient data-fallback strategies, implement edge-computing optimizations, and coordinate with network defenders to mitigate jamming or spoofing attacks.
  • • Champion a “secure-by-design” mindset by embedding differential privacy, federated learning, and adversarial robustness techniques into every model. You will conduct red-team exercises that probe for bias, drift, and exploitation vectors, then remediate findings before adversaries can weaponize them.
