📋 Description

• • Architect and maintain DailyPay’s Atlassian ecosystem to meet institutional-grade security, audit, and governance standards aligned with financial industry regulations.
• • Design and enforce Jira workflows that comply with SOX, PCI-DSS, and GDPR requirements, including implementation of mandatory separation of duties and automated approval gates for all production changes.
• • Establish and document a formal Sandbox-to-Production lifecycle for every Jira configuration update, ensuring each change follows a controlled, auditable approval path.
• • Maintain an immutable, traceable history of all configuration changes to ensure full Chain of Custody for software releases, enabling seamless retrieval during internal and external audits.
• • Collaborate with Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM) teams to align Atlassian Guard, SSO, and MFA configurations with the organization’s Least Privilege security posture.
• • Build and manage advanced executive dashboards that provide real-time visibility into material risk, compliance posture, and engineering velocity for leadership decision-making.
• • Integrate Jira deeply with GitHub Enterprise and CI/CD pipelines to automatically link tickets to code commits, ensuring end-to-end traceability from requirement to deployment.
• • Apply knowledge of Atlassian Data Residency to ensure all financial data is stored and processed in compliance with regional data sovereignty laws.
• • Utilize ScriptRunner for advanced workflow validations, such as preventing users from transitioning Jira tickets they originally created, to enforce process integrity and reduce risk.
• • Serve as the primary steward of Jira as the System of Record for engineering operations, prioritizing stability, auditability, and compliance over rapid but uncontrolled customization.
• • Participate in formal regulatory audits and SOC2 Type II examinations, providing documentation, evidence, and testimony to support compliance outcomes.
• • Operate with a Zero-Trust mindset, treating Jira configuration with the same rigor as a production banking application, rejecting quick fixes that compromise integrity or audit trails.
• • Proactively identify gaps in governance and recommend improvements to ensure the Atlassian platform evolves in alignment with regulatory expectations and organizational scale.
• • Enable scalable engineering operations by standardizing processes across teams, reducing manual oversight, and automating compliance checks within the Jira environment.
• • Ensure all access controls, permission schemes, and project configurations are reviewed and documented to support ongoing compliance and minimize insider risk.
• • Act as the central point of contact for engineering teams on Jira governance, providing guidance, training, and enforcement of standardized operational procedures.
• • Work closely with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into operational controls within the Atlassian platform.
• • Document all procedures, configurations, and change logs in a manner that meets external auditor expectations for clarity, completeness, and traceability.
