📋 Description

• Senior Full Stack Engineer role focused on leading design and development of end-to-end features for a gifting platform with strong backend emphasis, driving technical decisions in a fast-growing cloud-based SaaS environment.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include owning projects from ideation to production, designing scalable systems, making key technical decisions, collaborating with product and design teams, driving best practices in code quality and security, mentoring engineers, and improving development processes and tooling.
• Part of Snappy Kraken’s Engineering team, working in a hybrid model (3 days in office) in Tel Aviv, contributing to a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning while evolving engineering standards and adopting emerging tools like AI.
• Opportunity to shape scalable systems, gain deep expertise in modern stacks (React, Node.js, TypeScript, Kafka, AWS), influence technical direction, and grow as a technical leader in a high-impact, innovative environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in full stack development with strong backend orientation
• Proven experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems in production environments
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
• Strong experience with React and advanced JavaScript/TypeScript
• Solid understanding of system design, REST/OpenAPI APIs, and microservices architecture
• Proficiency with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and handling production-scale data
• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, queues, pub/sub)
• Experience with cloud platforms and serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda)
• Experience applying AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity; familiarity with MCPs and AI agents is required
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, take initiative, and communicate effectively across teams
• Fluent in English
