📋 Description

• Maintain and enhance legacy browser-based user interfaces built with jQuery, Kendo UI, and Bootstrap, ensuring performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Lead incremental UI modernization initiatives by migrating components from jQuery/Kendo UI to Angular and TypeScript within a legacy .NET application.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core, adhering to clean architecture principles and SOLID design patterns.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs with secure authentication mechanisms, proper versioning, and well-defined contracts for internal and external consumers.
• Refactor legacy .NET codebases progressively to improve maintainability, scalability, and testability without introducing production disruptions.
• Design and optimize SQL Server schemas, stored procedures, and complex T-SQL queries to ensure high performance, data integrity, and efficient indexing strategies.
• Identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities including dependency upgrades, CVE remediation, and implementation of OWASP Top 10 secure coding practices.
• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests using xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Jest, or Jasmine to ensure regression coverage and system reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements by integrating automated builds, security scanning, testing, and deployment workflows for .NET applications.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to support seamless deployments, monitor system observability, and drive continuous modernization.
• Deploy and manage .NET applications in AWS environments including EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch for monitoring and infrastructure management.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 across all user-facing interfaces.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices architectural patterns where applicable to improve modularity and service boundaries.
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and sprint ceremonies within an agile development environment.
• Maintain documentation for APIs, architectural decisions, and security configurations to support knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
• Work autonomously on high-impact government technology projects focused on modernizing mission-critical HR and public sector software platforms.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade .NET applications with strong expertise in C# across .NET Framework and .NET Core.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Solid SQL Server experience including schema design, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and experience working with jQuery-based applications, Kendo UI, and Bootstrap.
• Deep understanding of SOLID principles, clean architecture, dependency injection, and separation of concerns.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest; Jest or Jasmine for front end).
