📋 Description
- • Senior Internal Auditor – Data Analytics role focused on building data pipelines, automated tests, and monitoring tools to enable full-population testing and AI-assisted analytics in Internal Audit at Kraken, a mission-driven crypto exchange advancing global financial inclusion.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and building data pipelines connecting to source systems, developing automated test scripts and anomaly detection models, validating data completeness and accuracy, creating dashboards for real-time insights, partnering with engineering and business teams to secure data access, training auditors on analytics tools, and communicating complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Kraken is a fully remote, mission-focused crypto company with team members in 70+ countries, dedicated to accelerating global crypto adoption through industry-leading security, education, and client support, operating as an Integrated Assurance organization combining Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management.
- • In this role, you will build an audit analytics capability from the ground up in a high-volume, complex, multi-jurisdictional crypto environment, gain expertise in AI-assisted auditing, shape the future of continuous monitoring, and develop deep impact by enabling data-driven assurance across regulated entities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, analytics engineering, or data engineering with proven application in audit, risk, or financial services context
- • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
- • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience building data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
- • Rigorous approach to data quality including completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation to source systems
- • Ability to integrate AI-assisted tools into analytics workflows to work faster and smarter
- • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous audit or business questions into structured analytical approaches and scalable solutions
- • Effective communicator who can present complex data findings as clear, actionable conclusions for auditors, senior leadership, and external stakeholders
