đź“‹ Description

  • • Senior IT Manager at Givebutter Inc., a remote-first nonprofit fundraising and CRM platform, responsible for building the IT function from the ground up as the first in-house IT hire.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning end-to-end IT operations such as device procurement and management, SaaS administration, identity and access management, MDM administration for Mac and Windows fleets, managing core tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and 1Password, leading IT onboarding and offboarding, administering the Notion workspace with permissions and structural oversight, evaluating and governing AI tool adoption, creating IT documentation and self-service resources, implementing security fundamentals (endpoint protection, MFA, access controls, SOC 2 support), serving as a proactive troubleshooting partner, and identifying infrastructure gaps before they become issues.
  • • The team is remote-first with hubs across major U.S. cities, and the role partners closely with Engineering and People teams to ensure seamless tool access and support for all employees as the company scales toward powering the next billion changemakers.
  • • In this role, you will build a foundational IT function from zero, gain deep influence over security and usability balance, shape AI governance practices, develop scalable systems in a high-growth environment, and grow as a trusted operational partner across technical and non-technical teams while contributing to a mission-driven culture focused on social impact.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8+ years of IT experience, ideally at a high-growth startup or remote-first company
  • • Proven ability to build from scratch in ambiguous environments without relying on a playbook
  • • Hands-on experience administering Notion at scale, including permissions management, workspace governance, and cross-functional collaboration
  • • Familiarity with AI tools in the workplace, including productivity benefits and security/compliance considerations
  • • Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts clearly and empathetically for non-technical audiences
  • • Security-minded and pragmatic approach to balancing protection with usability
  • • Experience managing a Mac-heavy, fully remote team and its associated SaaS stack
  • • Genuine care for supporting people, not just resolving tickets

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Dependent care coverage with 50% of premiums covered for eligible dependents
  • • Mental health support via TalkSpace membership included in health plans
  • • 3% 401k match for all eligible employees
  • • Flexible PTO with uncapped vacation days and company-recognized holidays
  • • Annual Wellness Week: company-wide summer closure for rest and recharge
  • • 12 weeks of paid parental leave for all parents, supported by Aidora
  • • Family Care Support: company-paid UrbanSitter membership and care credits for child, senior, pet, and household care
  • • Home Office Stipend for laptops, monitors, and modern technology
  • • Monthly Coworking Stipend for workspace flexibility
  • • Charitable Giving: up to $50/month donation matching to verified nonprofits via Givebutter
