📋 Description

• Senior Manager, Engineering at AllTrails leads engineering teams to build and scale the app that connects millions of users to outdoor adventures, directly supporting the company’s mission to get more people outside and enhance trail experiences.
• Day to day, the role involves managing engineering managers and individual contributors, driving technical strategy, ensuring delivery of high-quality features, fostering collaboration across product, design, and data teams, and promoting engineering excellence through mentorship and process improvement.
• AllTrails is a mission-driven company with the world’s largest outdoor community, operating as a U.S.-based remote-first organization with optional hybrid opportunities in key tech hubs; the team values positivity, innovation, humility, adaptability, inclusivity, and stewardship in building products that inspire outdoor exploration.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience managing engineering managers and leading multiple engineering teams
• Strong background in software engineering with expertise in mobile (iOS/Android) and/or backend systems
• Experience driving technical strategy and delivering complex features in fast-paced, consumer-facing environments
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and improve engineering processes
• Experience working in remote or hybrid environments with strong communication and alignment skills
