Senior Manager, People Operations

📋 Description

• • Serve as SEON’s primary subject matter expert on Hungarian labor law, employment contracts, payroll taxation, and social security requirements, ensuring 100% compliance with local and EU regulations.
• • Own end-to-end payroll operations across Hungary, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other international jurisdictions, coordinating with external vendors to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and statutory reporting.
• • Manage relationships with global EOR providers (including Oyster, Deel, and Parker) to support distributed employees, ensuring service quality, compliance, and cost efficiency across all vendor partnerships.
• • Lead the design, administration, and renewal of global employee benefits programs—including health, wellness, leave, and perks—covering Hungary, Europe, the US, and the UK.
• • Oversee all immigration and global mobility processes, including coordination of work permits, visas, and sponsor obligations in Hungary, the EU, US, and UK, in partnership with external immigration counsel and EOR providers.
• • Manage and develop a small People Operations team, providing coaching, task prioritization, and day-to-day supervision to ensure operational excellence and team growth.
• • Maintain and enhance global HR documentation, knowledge repositories, and data integrity across HR systems, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness for all jurisdictions.
• • Lead process improvement initiatives to automate, streamline, and scale People Operations workflows, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency across payroll, benefits, compliance, and mobility.
• • Own and optimize the HR tech stack including HiBob, Everstage, Pave, and global payroll/HCM platforms, identifying opportunities for system integrations and automation.
• • Partner with Legal and Finance teams to review, update, and align HR policies with Hungarian labor law, EU regulations, and applicable international standards.
• • Drive data-driven improvements to the employee and manager experience by analyzing HR metrics and feedback to inform operational decisions.
• • Lead special cross-functional projects within the People function, such as systems rollouts, policy redesigns, compliance audits, and benefits renewals.
• • Ensure full audit readiness for all HR operations, including statutory filings, tax documentation, and labor law compliance records in Hungary and other global locations.
• • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, immigration, and HR policy across all regions, providing clear, accurate, and timely guidance.
• • Support recruitment and onboarding operations by ensuring compliance with local hiring regulations and seamless integration of new hires into global HR systems and benefits.
• • Continuously monitor changes in labor law, tax codes, and benefits regulations in Hungary and key international markets, proactively updating processes to maintain compliance.
• • Document all HR operations workflows, maintain SOPs, and train team members and stakeholders on updated procedures to ensure consistency and scalability.
• • Collaborate with global leadership to align People Operations strategy with SEON’s rapid growth trajectory and evolving organizational needs.
