- • Lead and inspire a distributed team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) across multiple business units, driving alignment among key stakeholders and ensuring strategic programs are executed effectively to support Affirm’s mission of honest, transparent credit.
- • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Infrastructure, Operations, and Analytics leaders to translate complex technical initiatives into clear, executable roadmaps aligned with company-wide goals, OKRs, and operational models.
- • Drive employee engagement and high-performance culture by coaching, developing talent, managing performance, and fostering accountability, encouragement, and empowerment within the TPM team.
- • Proactively identify and resolve dependencies, assess risks, manage project schedules, and communicate status to upper management and cross-functional stakeholders while ensuring technical rigor at the architecture level.
- • Evolve the Technical Programs team to scale with Affirm’s growing product lines and business needs, establishing robust prioritization frameworks and enabling safe, efficient technology scaling.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- • 3-5 years of experience managing technical program management teams
- • 7+ years of experience program managing technical implementations
- • Track record of successfully launching software products by driving complex large technology applications and geographically distributed backend systems
- • Clear and compelling written and verbal communication skills
- • Obsesses over getting the details right but knows how to ship on time
- • Prior experience in FinTech, Payments, or Commerce is a plus
