📋 Description

• Senior Mobile Engineer responsible for owning the end-to-end consumer app experience across iOS and Android for a stealth-mode hardware product that will transform how people interact with their living spaces.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and shipping commerce flows (checkout, payments via Stripe/Apple Pay/Google Pay), building a computer-vision-based measurement pipeline using AprilTag detection and pose estimation, developing BLE/Wi-Fi connectivity layers for device control, and maintaining production infrastructure like CI/CD, crash reporting, and feature flags.
• The role involves close collaboration with design, firmware, and hardware teams to deliver a seamless consumer-grade experience, while also contributing to team growth through mentorship, interviewing, and setting technical standards as the mobile team scales.
• This is a foundational hire at an early-stage startup shipping both hardware and software, offering the opportunity to shape the architecture, quality, and direction of a product at the intersection of mobile, computer vision, and connected devices.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years of experience shipping production consumer mobile apps with at least one publicly available app to showcase
• Deep expertise in either Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Compose with working knowledge of the other platform
• Direct experience shipping commerce features including payments (Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and checkout flows
• Hands-on computer vision experience on mobile with AprilTag, ArUco, ChArUco, or comparable fiducial tracking, including camera calibration and pose estimation
• Experience with connected hardware: BLE, Wi-Fi provisioning, OTA firmware updates, and familiarity with Matter/Thread, HomeKit, or Google Home
