  • In this critical role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing impactful Go-To-Market (GTM) programs that clearly articulate the value proposition of Grafana Labs and its products. Your primary objective will be to demonstrate how our solutions, underpinned by a strong open-source ethos, effectively address the needs and challenges of our target customer base, enabling them to achieve their operational and business goals.
  • You will own the messaging and positioning strategy for key product areas and target personas, ensuring a consistent and compelling narrative across all communications. This involves close collaboration with Product Management and Sales Enablement teams to bridge the gap between product capabilities and customer understanding, ultimately making it easier for buyers to purchase and for our sales teams to effectively sell our value.
  • At Grafana Labs, Product Marketing is integrated within the Product organization, allowing us to approach product marketing with a distinct, growth-oriented mindset. Beyond traditional launch execution and campaign management, you will actively educate Product Managers and Engineers on demand generation principles and growth strategies. You will also be responsible for codifying product marketing knowledge into reusable tools and processes that empower anyone within the organization to leverage best practices.
  • This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, meticulous planning, and hands-on execution. You will be expected to contribute to various content creation efforts, including blog posts, webinar outlines, and video scripts, ensuring our messaging resonates with our technical audience.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating closely with Product Managers to define product value, craft compelling messaging, and develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies, encompassing competitive positioning and the creation of essential sales enablement collateral.
  • Partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and various Go-To-Market functions to produce critical customer-facing materials such as reference architectures, implementation guides, and detailed product documentation that facilitate customer evaluation and adoption.
  • Leading and managing the successful launch of new products and features, ensuring alignment with target buyer needs and market opportunities.
  • Conducting in-depth internal and customer research to gain a deep understanding of user pain points, competitive landscapes, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Educating and enabling Go-To-Market and Sales teams on the value and capabilities of our products, ensuring they are equipped to effectively engage with customers, partners, and prospects.
  • Developing and executing customer lifecycle marketing campaigns, including competitive positioning, retention strategies, and upsell/cross-sell initiatives, to strategically influence marketing programs and drive sustained growth across the entire customer journey.
  • Translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and persuasive messaging that highlights the business value and benefits for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the development of product positioning and messaging frameworks that can be leveraged across various marketing and sales channels.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to inform product strategy and marketing initiatives.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on our products and the market, providing insights and guidance to internal teams.
  • Driving adoption and engagement of Grafana Labs products through effective marketing strategies and enablement programs.

🎯 Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or product management, preferably within the B2B SaaS or technology sector.
  • Proven experience marketing and selling complex technical products or solutions to a technically sophisticated audience.
  • Demonstrated passion for and understanding of open source, cloud-native technologies, and the infrastructure monitoring/observability space.
  • Strong ability to articulate the value of technical products to diverse audiences, including engineers, IT professionals, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience leading product or feature launches, either autonomously or as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present complex information clearly and concisely.
