- • Lead the delivery of complex mainframe modernization projects across Rocket Software’s full product suite, managing initiatives valued from $500k to $2M in services revenue, with occasional oversight of transformations up to $10M, ensuring alignment with customer business goals and aggressive yet achievable deadlines.
- • Coordinate multi-function, multi-vendor project teams spanning multiple regions, serving as the primary customer interface to build trust-based relationships grounded in Rocket’s core values of Empathy, Humanity, Trust, and Love.
- • Define and document clear project scope and objectives, prevent scope creep, and utilize Rocket’s project management framework to optimize workflows, accelerate time to value, and ensure customer-centric outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
- • Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Customer Success, and Delivery Engineering to identify revenue opportunities, align project execution with product roadmaps, and ensure seamless customer engagements across technical and business stakeholders.
- • Mentor and coach project managers, develop career development plans, drive continuous learning and knowledge sharing, and implement coaching frameworks to enhance team leadership and delivery capabilities.
- • Implement and continuously improve standardized policies, procedures, and best practices; track KPIs and analyze project data to identify trends, address inefficiencies, and recommend process optimizations that reduce complexity, cost, and time-to-market.
- • Establish clear governance structures and reporting processes to provide real-time visibility into project progress, financial health, and risk status for stakeholders.
- • Maintain transparent communication around timelines, scope, and risks; provide reliable financial forecasts to management and ad-hoc updates on critical milestones and revenue recognition status.
- • Uphold information security responsibilities and contribute to an inclusive workplace environment where every Rocketeer can thrive by bringing their full selves to work.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- • 12+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably with enterprise-scale portfolios in a professional services organization of a software company.
- • 6+ years leading senior-level customer-facing project managers in a strategic or operational leadership role.
- • Project management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, PgMP); additional certifications in Agile methodologies are beneficial.
- • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and business transformation through project delivery in a software, SaaS, or enterprise software environment.
- • Expertise in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, resource optimization, portfolio management, advanced project planning, risk management, process improvement, and change management.
