- • As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Bjak Sdn. Bhd., you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of Southeast Asia’s largest insurance portal, directly contributing to the company’s mission of democratizing access to affordable financial services across ASEAN. Your work will safeguard user trust by preventing defects in high-stakes financial transactions, enabling millions to securely compare, purchase, and manage insurance policies online.
- • You will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using modern tools like Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium to test web applications, APIs, and microservices, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to support continuous delivery and rapid release cycles.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable automated test suites for web, API, and backend services; executing functional, regression, integration, and performance tests; and analyzing test results to identify root causes of failures in collaboration with development and product teams.
- • You will actively participate in requirement reviews to define comprehensive test scenarios, identify edge cases, and maximize test coverage, ensuring that quality is built in from the earliest stages of the software lifecycle.
- • You will maintain test data, mocks, and test environments, and build specialized tooling such as monitoring and reporting dashboards to enhance QA efficiency and provide actionable insights across engineering teams.
- • You will document test plans, test cases, automation design decisions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, best practices, and quality metrics, helping to elevate the overall engineering culture at Bjak.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- • 3+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation, specifically for backend services, web applications, and cloud infrastructure.
- • Strong proficiency with automation tools including Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium, with proven ability to design and maintain scalable test frameworks.
- • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing clean, maintainable test code.
- • Solid understanding of REST APIs and experience with automated API testing using tools like Postman, Newman, or REST Assured.
- • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and version control systems (Git).
- • Familiarity with microservices, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) is a strong plus.
