- • Lead the design, implementation, and execution of performance testing strategies for complex enterprise applications across multiple platforms and architectures.
- • Identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks in web, mobile, and API-based systems using industry-standard tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality gates are enforced at every release stage.
- • Develop and maintain scalable performance test scripts that simulate real-world user loads, peak traffic conditions, and stress scenarios to validate system resilience.
- • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including response time, throughput, error rates, and resource utilization under load to ensure systems meet SLAs and business requirements.
- • Champion performance engineering best practices across the QA organization by mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and establishing standardized testing frameworks.
- • Document performance test plans, test cases, results, and remediation actions with clarity and precision for cross-functional stakeholders and audit readiness.
- • Work closely with infrastructure and cloud teams to evaluate system scalability, capacity planning, and resource allocation under varying load conditions.
- • Investigate and root-cause performance degradation issues across distributed systems, microservices, and database layers using monitoring tools like New Relic, Datadog, or AppDynamics.
- • Stay current with emerging performance testing technologies, cloud-native architectures, and automation trends to continuously improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- • Present performance test findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights for product decisions.
- • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards during performance testing cycles, particularly in regulated industries such as healthcare and finance.
- • Drive automation of performance testing workflows to reduce manual effort, increase repeatability, and enable continuous performance validation in agile environments.
- • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to align performance testing priorities with product roadmaps and delivery timelines.
- • Act as the primary point of contact for performance-related quality issues during production deployments and post-release monitoring.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering for enterprise-scale applications
- • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
- • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance testing within DevOps workflows
- • Experience with monitoring and observability tools like New Relic, Datadog, or AppDynamics
- • Solid knowledge of web, mobile, and API performance metrics and optimization techniques
- • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior QA engineers
