- • Lead the design, development, and execution of performance testing strategies for complex, high-traffic enterprise applications across multiple platforms.
- • Identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks in web, mobile, and API-based systems using industry-standard tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure performance criteria are met before each release.
- • Define and maintain performance test scripts, scenarios, and baselines that reflect real-world user behavior and system load conditions.
- • Monitor and analyze system metrics including response time, throughput, error rates, CPU/memory utilization, and database performance during load and stress tests.
- • Create detailed performance test reports with actionable insights, root cause analysis, and recommendations for optimization to engineering and leadership teams.
- • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in performance testing methodologies, tool usage, and best practices for scalable and repeatable test automation.
- • Establish performance benchmarks and SLAs for applications based on business requirements and user expectations.
- • Work closely with infrastructure and cloud teams to validate system scalability under varying load conditions across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- • Stay current with emerging performance testing tools, techniques, and industry trends to continuously improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- • Advocate for performance as a non-functional requirement throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring it is prioritized alongside functional testing.
- • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to ensure performance testing is embedded in agile workflows.
- • Document performance testing processes, standards, and templates to ensure knowledge transfer and team consistency.
- • Coordinate with offshore and cross-functional teams to align on performance testing goals, timelines, and deliverables across global projects.
- • Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards during performance testing activities, especially in healthcare and financial applications.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing for enterprise-scale applications
- • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
- • Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, web protocols, and network fundamentals
- • Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
- • Solid knowledge of monitoring and profiling tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, AppDynamics)
- • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
