  • As a Senior Sales Engineer at Delinea, you will be a pivotal member of our go-to-market team, tasked with translating complex technical solutions into compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and business stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to understand customer business challenges and architect solutions that leverage Delinea's cutting-edge Identity Security Platform, particularly in the realms of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • You will engage directly with senior leadership within client organizations to identify and prioritize critical use cases, define achievable milestones, and establish robust business case criteria. This strategic alignment ensures that Delinea's solutions directly support and enhance their IAM and PAM program investment strategies, demonstrating clear ROI and business value.
  • Beyond client-facing responsibilities, you will serve as a subject matter expert, providing invaluable insights that shape Delinea's internal product strategy. Your feedback, derived from real-world customer interactions and market observations, will directly influence product development and roadmap prioritization.
  • This role is instrumental in shaping the "voice of the company" externally. You will have opportunities to represent Delinea at industry events, contribute to thought leadership through content creation (e.g., white papers, blog posts), and participate in speaking engagements, solidifying Delinea's position as a leader in the cybersecurity space.
  • Your primary work environment will be your home office, offering flexibility and autonomy. However, you will be expected to travel occasionally (up to 25%) to client sites, industry events, and internal meetings as required by business needs.
  • A key responsibility will be to establish and maintain a gold standard for product demonstrations. These demonstrations must not only showcase Delinea's capabilities but also credibly underpin the company's overarching vision for Privileged Access Management solutions, making complex concepts accessible and impactful.
  • You will collaborate closely with Account Managers, developing and executing strategies to optimize client engagement and deepen relationships. This partnership is crucial for identifying new opportunities and ensuring customer success.
  • Delivering world-class Proof of Value (PoV) and Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements will be central to your role. These engagements are designed to rigorously demonstrate the tangible value and unique differentiation of Delinea's solutions, building confidence and accelerating the sales cycle.
  • You will be encouraged to develop new and innovative concepts and programs aimed at driving pipeline growth within target customer segments, particularly focusing on the Enterprise Security Platform (ESP) customer base.
  • Leveraging public speaking opportunities, contributing to industry commentary, and utilizing social media platforms are encouraged to build brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Articulating the Delinea vision and strategic direction to prospects, existing customers, and partners will be a daily activity, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment.
  • As a strategic thinker, you will continuously explore and refine selling techniques and strategies that provide Delinea with a distinct competitive advantage in the market.
  • Identifying emerging industry trends that represent significant growth opportunities for Delinea will be a proactive part of your role, allowing the company to stay ahead of the curve.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and addressing technical blockers that may impede the progression and closing of sales opportunities, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process.
  • Working in close partnership with the Product Management team, you will relay feature requests, enhancement suggestions, and market feedback gathered from customers and prospects, directly contributing to product evolution.
  • Demonstrating a proven ability to build strong relationships with both technical and business stakeholders is paramount. Candidates should possess referenceable examples of clients who consider them trusted advisors.
  • You must be adept at synthesizing business and technical metrics to construct compelling business cases for clients, clearly illustrating the value proposition of Delinea's solutions.
  • High proficiency in cloud-computing technologies, containers, and the ability to confidently discuss how Delinea products integrate and add value within these modern environments is essential.
  • Practical working experience with core technologies such as MS Windows, MS SQL Server, Active Directory, coupled with strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux, is required.
  • A solid working knowledge of authentication protocols, including SAML, OAuth, LDAP, Certificate/PKI, and Kerberos, is necessary for understanding and articulating integration points.
  • The ability to communicate credibly and effectively with a diverse range of technical and business stakeholders is a critical skill for success in this role.
  • You should be able to articulate a well-informed perspective on the convergence of PAM, IAM, IGA, CIEM, DREAM, and other related facets of comprehensive Identity and Access Management.
  • Working knowledge of, and ideally hands-on experience with, key players in the Identity and Privilege Access Management space such as CyberArk, Thycotic, Centrify, BeyondTrust, Sailpoint, Saviynt, Forgerock, OneIdentity, Okta, Ping, or similar providers, is highly desirable.
  • Bonus points for relevant certifications such as CISSP, MSCE, GIAC, CEH, or ISACA, and experience within DevOps environments.
