📋 Description

• • The Senior Security Engineer, AI Model and Application is a hands-on, systems-level role at the intersection of security engineering and artificial intelligence, responsible for securing AI systems across their entire lifecycle — from data and training pipelines to inference endpoints and user-facing features.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing security controls for AI/ML systems, developing threat models for prompt injection and data leakage, leading red teaming and adversarial testing of LLMs, partnering with ML engineers to embed security into model development, implementing PII detection and output filtering, integrating AI telemetry into SIEM and SOC workflows, maintaining security documentation, staying current on AI-specific threats like those in OWASP LLM Top 10 and MITRE ATLAS, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Legal, and Compliance.
• • The role is part of ImmunityBio, Inc., a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing cell and immunotherapy products to strengthen the immune system against cancer and infectious diseases, headquartered in Southern California and publicly traded on NASDAQ (IBRX).
• • The individual will gain deep expertise in AI security frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and NIST CSF, develop leadership in securing generative AI systems, influence secure-by-design practices across ML and product teams, and contribute to compliance with SOC 2 Type 2 and other regulatory standards while advancing their career in a growing, innovative biotech environment.
