📋 Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shopify Developer to join a rapidly scaling, premium direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand specializing in Korean-American-inspired products. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of the technical development of a custom Shopify storefront, built from the ground up, and directly influence the brand's growth and customer engagement.
• As the Senior Shopify Developer, you will be instrumental in crafting a high-performing, conversion-driven e-commerce experience. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining a cutting-edge Shopify OS 2.0 theme, ensuring exceptional performance, seamless user journeys across all devices, and alignment with the brand's premium, culturally driven identity.
• This role demands a deep understanding of Shopify's ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on clean, custom development and robust frontend execution. You will be responsible for building custom product pages, collection pages, and landing pages that not only adhere to brand guidelines but are also meticulously optimized for conversion.
• You will leverage your expertise in Shopify Liquid to create reusable components, enhance site functionality, and ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience for customers, whether they are browsing on a desktop or a mobile device.
• A significant aspect of this role involves optimizing the Shopify store for peak performance. This includes improving site speed, ensuring flawless mobile responsiveness, and implementing SEO best practices to enhance organic visibility and search engine rankings.
• You will be tasked with implementing advanced e-commerce features directly on the storefront, such as sophisticated upsell strategies, product bundling options, and personalized product recommendations, particularly on product detail pages, to maximize average order value and customer satisfaction.
• Collaboration is key in this position. You will work closely with talented design and marketing teams to support the successful launch of new features, execute promotional campaigns, and introduce new product releases, ensuring the technical implementation perfectly matches the creative vision and marketing objectives.
• Your frontend development skills will be crucial in bringing designs to life. You will utilize HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to enhance site functionality, create engaging interactive elements, and implement responsive layouts that adapt beautifully to any screen size.
• You will be the guardian of the site's integrity, proactively monitoring for bugs, broken links, and any functional issues, and resolving them with speed and efficiency to minimize any disruption to the customer experience.
• Deployment of updates, changes, and critical fixes will be handled by you, ensuring a smooth and seamless process that prioritizes customer satisfaction and site stability.
• Ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement are vital. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the Shopify storefront, constantly seeking opportunities to enhance performance, usability, and overall effectiveness.
• Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is at the heart of this role. You will implement conversion-focused features, including strategic upsells, cross-sells, and bundles across the entire site, to drive higher conversion rates and revenue.
• You will actively support A/B testing initiatives, analyzing performance data to identify user flow bottlenecks and areas for improvement, ultimately leading to enhanced conversion rates.
• You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to meticulously optimize landing pages and product pages, ensuring they are primed for maximum conversion and deliver on campaign goals.
• Integration of the Shopify platform with essential third-party tools will be a core responsibility. This includes seamless integration with CRM systems, subscription platforms, loyalty programs, and customer review solutions, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow across all systems for products, customers, and transactions.
• You will also support integrations related to affiliate marketing programs, customer loyalty initiatives, and customer feedback mechanisms, creating a connected and robust e-commerce ecosystem.
• Performance monitoring using analytics tools is essential. You will track site traffic, analyze user behavior patterns, and evaluate conversion performance to identify key opportunities for optimizing user funnels, improving user paths, and boosting overall site effectiveness.
• This role offers a significant opportunity to shape the technical direction and user experience of a thriving DTC brand. You will have the chance to build a best-in-class Shopify experience from the ground up, directly impacting business outcomes, and collaborating with creative and marketing powerhouses to forge a high-impact e-commerce presence.
• The role requires availability during U.S. business hours, specifically 9 AM - 3 PM EST, for a 30-hour work week, accommodating clients in the U.S. time zone. This position is fully remote and open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong emphasis on custom theme development and Shopify OS 2.0 architecture.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining high-performance, conversion-optimized Shopify storefronts.
• Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a deep understanding of Shopify's theme development best practices and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience integrating Shopify with various third-party applications such as CRM, subscription services, loyalty platforms, and review management tools.
