- • Design and evolve scalable, secure, and highly available SaaS applications using C#, .NET Core, and cloud-native architectures for a GovTech SaaS client serving public-sector and education organizations.
- • Define and enforce technical architecture and engineering standards across multiple products and engineering teams, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and alignment with AI-first principles.
- • Lead the adoption of microservices, domain-driven design (DDD), CQRS, event-driven systems, and API-first approaches to modernize legacy systems and enable agile delivery.
- • Partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and fellow Architects to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that simplify complex HR, compliance, and workforce management processes.
- • Mentor senior engineers by providing technical guidance on architecture, design decisions, implementation strategies, and code quality practices.
- • Drive improvements in system performance, scalability, observability, and security across cloud-native SaaS platforms.
- • Champion AI-assisted software development by integrating tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot into daily engineering workflows to automate tasks and increase delivery velocity.
- • Apply modern AI concepts and workflows—including LLMs, RAG, MCP, and agentic development practices—to enhance software quality, reduce technical debt, and accelerate innovation.
- • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices such as automated testing, continuous integration, and operational excellence across all development pipelines.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architectural roadmaps with business goals and regulatory requirements in the public-sector and education domains.
- • Evaluate and recommend cloud infrastructure patterns using AWS (preferred) or Azure, including containerization, serverless components, and distributed systems.
- • Promote the use of modern database technologies including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like DocumentDB to support diverse data needs across SaaS products.
- • Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical upskilling within engineering teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and architectural excellence.
- • Contribute to the evolution of platform capabilities by integrating AI-driven tooling and autonomous workflows that reduce manual engineering overhead.
- • Maintain a customer-first mindset by ensuring architectural decisions directly improve end-user experiences for public-sector employees and administrators.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years as a Software Architect, Principal Engineer, or technical leader
- • Expert-level experience with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Angular (v16+)
- • Strong experience designing enterprise SaaS platforms using microservices, DDD, CQRS, and event-driven architectures
- • Hands-on experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure and cloud-native application design
- • Solid knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases (DocumentDB is a plus)
- • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions across teams
