- • You will be instrumental in building software that empowers users to self-serve, maintain continuous insurance coverage, and enjoy a seamless, magical interaction with their vehicles, from initial purchase through ongoing maintenance and potential sale.
- • Your primary focus will be on developing and refining automation systems that handle complex insurance servicing tasks end-to-end. This includes, but is not limited to, policy endorsements, cancellations, document uploads and verification, and policy reinstatements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step.
- • You will also play a key role in developing features designed to proactively reduce policy cancellations, improve renewal rates, and guarantee that our users consistently benefit from the most optimal coverage available in the market.
- • The role involves composing robust backend business logic that underpins these automation workflows, meticulously respecting the intricate rules and regulations set forth by various insurance carriers.
- • You will design and implement sophisticated backend pipelines responsible for synchronizing critical customer policy data, delivering timely and relevant alerts to users and internal teams, and powering seamless re-shopping experiences for insurance policies.
- • A significant aspect of your work will involve optimizing and scaling our suite of internal tools. These tools are designed to significantly reduce the need for human agent intervention in routine tasks, aiming to bring agent involvement to near-zero levels, thereby increasing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineering Operations, to anticipate potential customer churn, identify key drivers of dissatisfaction, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance customer retention and overall satisfaction.

You will work effectively across different time zones, minimizing unnecessary meetings and maximizing productivity through tools like Asana and Slack, fostering a highly efficient and focused work environment.
- • You will be a champion for backend system health and evolution, continuously identifying opportunities to improve our existing microservice architecture, enhance API performance and reliability, and adopt best practices in software engineering.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of full-stack engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on building production-grade software and large-scale distributed systems, ideally within a fast-growing consumer-facing technology company.
- • Demonstrated expertise in backend development, including composing complex business logic, designing scalable APIs, and managing data pipelines. While specific language experience is less critical, a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and systems design is paramount.
- • Proven ability to tackle ambiguous problems, break them down into actionable technical requirements, and iterate rapidly to deliver effective solutions.
- • A strong sense of ownership, taking responsibility for the end-to-end success of the systems you build and a commitment to continuous improvement.
