- • AuditBoard is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer II to join our dynamic Platform UI team. As a leader in the audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec platform space, AuditBoard is experiencing rapid growth, surpassing $300M ARR and consistently expanding its market presence. Over half of the Fortune 500 companies rely on our award-winning technology to achieve greater clarity and agility in their operations, a testament to our customer-centric approach and product excellence, as evidenced by top ratings on G2.com and Gartner Peer Insights.
- • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in leading large-scale, strategic, and complex projects that shape the future of our platform's user interface. This position requires a significant degree of technical leadership, including mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, and contributing to the architectural design of scalable, robust solutions that benefit the entire engineering organization. You will tackle a wide spectrum of challenges, from developing highly scalable systems to conceptualizing and implementing innovative new product features.
- • Our ideal candidate is a collaborative individual who thrives in a team environment but also possesses the autonomy to drive an idea from its initial conception through to successful implementation. You will be part of a hardworking, energetic team that is deeply passionate about our customers and committed to continuous learning. This includes deepening our understanding of customer needs, refining our product, and consistently improving our software development practices.
- • Key responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end development and deployment of product features. This involves not only writing high-quality, maintainable, and testable code but also contributing to the creation of clear and well-defined design documentation. You will play a crucial role in mentoring fellow engineers, sharing your expertise, and fostering a culture of growth and knowledge transfer within the team.
- • You will be a key contributor to application architecture decisions, ensuring that our platform remains scalable, performant, and adaptable to future needs. This includes actively participating in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software bugs to maintain the integrity and reliability of our product. Your technical contributions will span both back-end API development using Node.JS and front-end development on our Ember.JS Single Page Application (SPA).
- • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers to translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions. A strong understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle is essential, as you will actively participate in all phases of development, from sprint planning to retrospectives.
- • We expect our engineers to be product-minded, always considering the customer's perspective and the impact of their work on the user experience. This role involves working with a modern technology stack, including JavaScript, Node.JS, Ember.JS, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes, among others. Your ability to write well-designed, maintainable, and testable code is paramount, ensuring the long-term health and evolution of our platform.
- • This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a rapidly growing company that is a leader in its industry. You will have the chance to work on challenging problems, mentor other engineers, and contribute to a product that is loved by its users. If you are a seasoned engineer who is passionate about building great software, driving technical excellence, and collaborating with a talented team, we encourage you to apply.
- • You will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and architecture to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. This includes actively participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Your contributions will directly influence the user experience and the overall success of the AuditBoard platform.
- • Furthermore, you will be expected to stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities to improve our development processes, tools, and the platform itself. This role offers a unique blend of individual contribution and leadership, allowing you to shape technical direction while also hands-on coding and problem-solving.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building reusable UI components, design systems, and creating robust APIs. You will be instrumental in ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our platform, working with a talented team dedicated to delivering exceptional value to our customers. Your ability to translate complex requirements into practical, efficient, and maintainable code will be a key factor in your success.
- • This role is fully remote within the United States, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a distributed team of high-performing engineers. You will be an integral part of a company culture that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, contributing to a product that is making a real difference for businesses worldwide.
