- • In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable and robust iOS applications. Your work will directly impact millions of customer interactions daily, solving complex software engineering challenges by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and adhering to Walmart Global Tech standards.
- • Our team is at the forefront of technological innovation within Walmart's US eCommerce business, dedicated to enhancing the customer experience. We collaborate closely with Product, UX, Backend, and QA teams to deliver exceptional mobile solutions that align with our strategic goals. You will be a key contributor to a dynamic environment focused on customer satisfaction, store operations, and merchant enablement.
- • You will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of advanced iOS applications, utilizing Swift as the primary programming language. This includes crafting sophisticated user interfaces through various methods, such as programmatic UI, Interface Builder (Storyboard/XIB), and the modern SwiftUI framework, ensuring a consistent and engaging user experience across devices.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve integrating backend services, working with both RESTful APIs and GraphQL, to ensure seamless data flow and application functionality. You will be adept at optimizing application performance, employing advanced debugging tools like Instruments to identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience even under heavy load.
- • You will tackle and resolve complex UI/UX issues within large-scale applications, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering polished, high-quality software. This includes ensuring the application is not only functional but also accessible and performant.
- • Writing comprehensive unit and functional tests will be a core responsibility, guaranteeing the reliability, maintainability, and reusability of your code. You will champion best practices in software development, contributing to a codebase that is robust and easy to manage.
- • Collaboration is key to our success. You will work closely with product managers to understand requirements, UX designers to translate visual concepts into functional interfaces, backend engineers to define API contracts, and QA engineers to ensure the highest quality of releases.
