- • The Senior Specialist, People Systems serves as the operational backbone of the People Systems team, delivering long-term strategies, driving continuous improvement, and enhancing functional capabilities to align with business objectives and incorporate customer feedback.
- • Day to day, the role involves acting as a Workday subject matter expert across Core HCM and Hire-to-Retire processes, owning and optimizing Workday configurations, business processes, integrations, and security frameworks, utilizing Workday reporting and advanced Excel for workforce data analysis, designing and delivering analytics and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools, leading continuous improvement initiatives through workflow automation and RPA (e.g., UiPath, Alteryx), defining and tracking process performance KPIs, leading Workday projects and releases using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies, partnering with senior HR leaders and business stakeholders to translate system capabilities into actionable strategies, serving as a trusted advisor by presenting insights that influence workforce planning and operational performance, diagnosing and resolving complex Workday system, data, and process issues through structured problem-solving, coaching and mentoring junior analysts and functional partners on Workday capabilities, and effectively communicating complex Workday and people-data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

- • In this role, the individual can develop deep expertise in Workday HCM and Hire-to-Retire processes, gain advanced skills in workforce analytics and data storytelling using Power BI and Excel, lead process optimization and automation initiatives using RPA tools, strengthen stakeholder management and advisory capabilities with senior HR and business leaders, contribute to large-scale Workday transformations and project leadership, and grow as a trusted expert in people systems strategy and operational excellence while supporting a mission-driven organization focused on enriching people’s lives through family history and genomics.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven expertise as a Workday subject matter expert across Core HCM and Hire-to-Retire processes including Talent, Payroll, and Leave & Absence
- • Experience owning and optimizing Workday configurations, business processes, integrations, and security frameworks
- • Proficiency in Workday reporting, data extracts, and advanced Excel-based modeling for workforce data analysis
- • Experience designing and delivering analytics and dashboards using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
- • Background in leading continuous improvement initiatives using workflow automation and RPA solutions (e.g., UiPath, Alteryx)
- • Ability to define, track, and deliver against process performance KPIs for Workday services and operational outcomes
