- • Lead key engineering and product decisions for the Speechify iOS app, which is ranked #18 in the App Store Productivity category and recognized with Apple’s 2025 Design Award for inclusivity.
- • Actively ship production code for the iOS application, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and performant features that serve over 50 million users.
- • Work within a dedicated product team to design, build, and refine core functionality of the iOS app, including text-to-speech playback, document parsing, and user interface enhancements.
- • Participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, collaborating with designers and product managers to prioritize features that improve user experience and accessibility.
- • Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture using modern iOS development practices and scalable design patterns.
- • Apply SOLID principles to write clean, maintainable, and testable code, ensuring every class adheres to robust software engineering standards.
- • Implement multithreaded programming techniques to optimize performance, especially for audio processing and background tasks in a high-usage environment.
- • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane to automate builds, testing, and App Store deployments with reliability and speed.
- • Use Git with established branching and merge strategies to collaborate effectively in a distributed, asynchronous team environment.
- • Contribute to product evolution by thinking like a product owner—balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals to make informed shipping decisions.
- • Work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where speed, focus, and execution are critical; know when to engage in collaboration and when to work independently.
- • Engage with a global, 100% remote team of engineers and AI researchers from companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, and top PhD programs including Stanford.
- • Build features that directly support users with learning differences such as Dyslexia, ADD, Low Vision, Concussions, Autism, and Second Language Learners, enabling them to access content through audio.
- • Deliver a delightful user experience that has led users to share emotional stories about how Speechify transformed their ability to read and learn.
- • Contribute to one of the fastest-growing sectors in tech: the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Audio.
