- • Lead the Quality Engineering function for Tenable’s Exposure Management product, driving an automation-first strategy and observability-driven quality insights to reduce cyber risk for 44,000 global organizations.
- • Manage, mentor, and grow a hands-on team of 6 to 8 QA engineers and SDETs through regular one-on-ones, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and technical growth.
- • Operate in a hybrid role (3 days/week in Maryland, 1–2 days/week for DC/Northern Virginia) with 50–60% hands-on involvement in designing, enhancing, and implementing automation frameworks across UI, API, performance, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- • Own the automation roadmap embedded in CI/CD workflows, implement observability practices using logs, metrics, traces, and synthetic monitoring, and partner with DevOps/SRE to improve error budgets and early incident detection.
- • Define and track data-driven quality metrics (automation coverage, escaped defect rate, release reliability score, performance baselines) and build monthly Quality Insights reports for leadership.
- • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align long-term Quality Engineering vision with business goals, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software lifecycle.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7–10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, including 2–5 years directly leading teams of 6 to 8 engineers.
- • Strong background in product-based software companies with deep expertise in test automation frameworks and cloud-based SaaS delivery.
- • Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or Python, with core knowledge of automation architecture in large environments valued over specific syntax.
- • Strong understanding of observability tools (Datadog, Grafana) and hands-on experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, K6, etc.).
- • Proven ability to define, track, and present quality metrics, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
