📋 Description

• As a Squad Lead - Java at Mirakl Labs Inc., you will lead and mentor a team of 4 to 5 developers based in Bordeaux, Paris, and remotely across France, driving the design, development, and success of Mirakl Connect—a market-leading solution that simplifies sellers’ daily operations through AI-powered tools for catalog, orders, and customer messaging.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one meetings, mid-year and year-end reviews, tracking career development and training needs, maintaining team cohesion and motivation, taking ownership of user stories, performing code reviews, designing, developing, testing, and pushing features to production, coordinating roadmaps with R&D members, interfacing with product and design teams for user story management, ensuring team commitments on velocity and quality are met, stepping in to resolve blockers or arbitrate project priorities, upskilling team members, onboarding new developers, identifying and developing talent, contributing to recruitment efforts, and establishing best practices in clean code, testing, releases, and pair programming.
• You will be part of Mirakl’s Connect team within the broader Engineering organization, reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager, and collaborating closely with product, design, and other engineering leads to deliver high-impact features for a global ecosystem of 450+ marketplaces and over 100k third-party sellers, including brands like Macy’s, Decathlon, Carrefour, Asos, and Airbus Helicopters.
• In this role, you will grow as a technical leader by balancing hands-on Java development with people management, deepen your expertise in microservices, cloud, Spring, and SQL, strengthen your cross-functional coordination and product collaboration skills, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, expertise sharing, and client empowerment—aligned with Mirakl’s core values of working hard together, getting things done, going above and beyond, succeeding through expertise, and satisfying and empowering clients.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role mentoring a team and 5 years of Java development in recent versions
• Strong technical proficiency in Java, Spring, SQL, cloud, and microservices
• Professional English proficiency at C1 level
• Proven listening and communication skills as a manager
• Ability to balance close management with genuine team autonomy
• Enjoy staying hands-on with code and contributing technically to team projects
