- • The Senior Data Analyst, Finance (REMOTE) role at Signet Jewelers Limited supports financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Signet Diamond Sourcing (SDS), focusing on inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and overall financial performance. This role is instrumental in maintaining accurate financial reporting, improving visibility into key metrics, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial metrics such as inventory balances, reserves, gross margin, and COGS; preparing monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports; assisting with month-end close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses); supporting forecasting and budgeting; developing and maintaining dashboards and KPIs; managing pricing and costing data infrastructure; building advanced SQL queries and data pipelines; delivering data-driven insights through analytical models; identifying process improvements; and collaborating with supply chain, operations, accounting, IT, ERP, and audit teams to ensure compliance and system optimization.

- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in financial analysis within a retail and e-commerce context, strengthen technical skills in SQL, ERP systems (SAP), and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx), enhance communication and stakeholder management abilities, and contribute to process automation and financial accuracy—positioning them for growth into senior finance or analytics leadership roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics with 3-5 years of financial analysis and accounting experience, preferably in inventory, COGS, or related field
- • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, with a focus on inventory and COGS accounting
- • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools
- • Advanced analytical skills, including ability to interpret complex data, develop insights, and recommend actions
- • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with visualization/data tools like Tableau, Alteryx, and/or Power BI
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present findings to senior stakeholders
